2021 Honorary Service Award Recipients

Every year, the PTA honors those people around our campus who have gone above and beyond with their time, talent, and resources to contribute to the wonderful activities and programs we offer through Plymouth Elementary. Normally, we're able to celebrate them with a nice dinner and ceremony. Unfortunately, with circumstances as they are, we will be postponing that celebration until next year, when we will hopefully be able to celebrate them with the grandeur they deserve.

In the meantime, please join us in honoring this year’s award recipients:

Very special person: Mr. Jeremy Mo

Jeremy has helped organize and produce many PTA events in the past three years, and distance learning hasn't slowed him down one bit. Jeremy has channeled his energies into producing videos and helping to produce our Moon & Stars and Lunar New Year virtual Family Nights. Jeremy always finds a way to make the hard work fun, too!

Very Special Person: Mrs. Atria MacLellan

Atria has officially chaired Red Ribbon Week for the past two years, but really, Atria pitches in on just about any and every event we do. Even while distance learning, you have seen Atria at PTA distributions and hosting Zooms for our October and Lunar New Year Family Nights. (Bonus: Atria has been elected as our 2021-2022 Plymouth PTA President!)

Very Special Person: Mrs. Justine Ung

Justine has been our PTA Historian (and tracks all volunteer hours) for the past two years and also organized an amazing Holiday Concert Fundraiser starring her own Plymouth Dragons! Justine has also generously shared her photography talents with us and has put in many hours with her family on our recent campus improvements!

Honorary Service: Ms. Natalie Ridley

It was Natalie's vision for us to have a Makerspace at Plymouth, and her enthusiasm and drive to bring STEAM enrichment to our Dragons didn't stop with distance learning. Natalie quickly pivoted and committed to creating at-home Mini-Maker Kits along with the Makerspace Google Classroom! Not only that, Natalie has also been instrumental in helping plan our virtual Moon & Stars and Multicultural Family Nights this year.

Outstanding Teacher: Mrs. Dana Williams

Mrs. Williams is not only an incredible teacher, but is also our PTA Teacher Representative and our liaison with teachers. Students love being in her class and benefit from her endless encouragement and belief that they are each capable of great growth. She is involved in so much—it's too hard to list it all!—but we are so grateful for her dedication to our school.

Outstanding Teacher: Ms. Kelly Curtis

Ms. Curtis does such an amazing job of delivering really high-level education while making her students feel so loved. She ROCKED distance teaching right from the very beginning, often sharing her virtual teaching ideas with other teachers! She is fun, innovative, and delivers amazing, engaging content to KINDERGARTENERS over Zoom.
