What a year it has been, Dragons! Thank you so much for going on this adventure with us and working hard as we all figured out how to do school a little differently this year. We are so proud of you!!

We hope you have an amazing summer full of adventures! Whether it’s taking a trip to the library or grabbing some ice cream or visiting a relative or a new place you’ve never been before—come back and share with us on our Summer Adventures Padlet! We’d love to see what our dragons are up to this summer!

(It might take a few days for us to approve posts over the summer, but don’t worry—we will be checking!)

Favorite Memory . . .

This has been a school year unlike any of us have ever known. We have all had to do hard things, but we’ve learned so much and had some fun doing it, too!

What is your favorite memory from this school year? We’d love to hear it on our Favorite Memory Padlet!

Staff Appreciation Week

Calling all Dragons! This week, we are dedicating our Dragon Adventure time to showing our Plymouth teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do to help us learn, grow, and stay safe!

Please take a little time each day to post on some Padlets for your teachers, aides, and any other member of our Plymouth Team that has made your day a little brighter this year. They would love to hear from you!

Click here to access all the Padlets for our Plymouth teachers and staff. The password to the webpage is the same as for your Dragon Adventures Padlets. (If you are not sure what it is, you can ask your parents or your teachers.)

Earth Day 2021
4_earth.jpg

Earth Day is celebrated all over the world each year on April 22nd. This is a day to learn about issues facing our planet and celebrate ways to help protect it.

For this week’s Earth Day Padlet, tell us what issue facing our planet is important to you and what is something you can do to help our Earth!

What's your favorite sport?
olympics.jpg

The Olympic Games bring together top athletes from over 200 countries to compete in both summer and winter sports. After being postponed due to the global pandemic, the torch relay for the 2020 Summer Olympics began last week in Fukushima, Japan. The Olympic flame will be passed from runner to runner throughout Japan until it arrives in Tokyo on July 23, 2021 for the opening ceremonies.

What is your favorite sport to play or watch? (It doesn’t have to be an official Olympic sport.) Let us know on this week’s Sports Padlet.

What's your lucky charm?

Some people believe that finding a four-leaf clover means you’ll have good luck.

Have you ever found a four-leaf clover or do you have any other objects that bring you good luck? Maybe it’s not something you have but something you do that makes you feel lucky. For instance, does listening to a special song or eating a special breakfast make you feel lucky?

Let us know what your lucky charms are in this week’s Lucky Charms Padlet.

What's your favorite pie?

March 14th is Pi Day. You’ll often see Pi written with this symbol: π. Pi is a number that describes the relationship between a circle’s diameter (distance across) and a circle’s circumference (distance around). After looking at many, many circles, mathematicians realized that every circle’s circumference, no matter how big or small, is always about 3.14 times its diameter!

Don’t worry if this feels confusing—you’ll learn more about Pi one day—but for our Dragon Adventure this week, it’s good enough to know that Pi is equal to about 3.14, it is an important and powerful number, and people like to celebrate it on March 14th by eating pie!

So let us know on our Pie Padlet what is your favorite flavor of pie? If you don’t like sweet pies, what are your favorite toppings on a pizza pie?

Take this week to visit some of our past Dragon Adventures to see what your friends have posted and add some posts of your own!

(Remember, each week has its own Padlet but the password stays the same.)

World Read Aloud Day
WRAD poster-cropped.jpg

Last Wednesday was World Read Aloud Day, and we want to know—how do you read aloud?

Do you read aloud to your grownup or perhaps a brother, sister, or friend? Maybe you read to your pet or a favorite stuffie? Or do you love it best when someone reads aloud to you?

We’d love to see or hear all about your favorite ways to read aloud on this week’s Read Aloud Padlet!

Compliments
Compliments.jpg

A compliment is something you can say to show you appreciate someone or something someone has done. It feels good to give and to get compliments, so try it out!

Share with us a compliment you have given and/or a compliment you've received on this week’s Compliments Padlet.

Celebrate Our Diversity!
diversity padlet.jpg

This week’s Padlet is a little bit different. Rather than telling us about your little mini dragon, we want to learn about you.

Even though we are all Plymouth Dragons, we all come from different backgrounds and cultures from all over the world. This week’s Padlet will allow us to see how much of the world is represented at our little school!

When you click on our Diversity Padlet, you will see a map of the world. Show us on this map what countries you and/or your family members (parents, grandparents, even great-great grandparents) have called home. For some of us, this may be a lot of countries, for some of us it may just be one.

We can’t wait to see what our map looks like at the end of this week!
